Note: Alternate side street parking regulations are in effect as of June 1, 2020. (Alternate side street parking required Sunday through Thursday.  Both side street parking permitted Friday and Saturday.) Due to the Hudson Farmer's Market, no parking in county or city lots on Columbia between 5th and 7th Street on Saturdays 8am - 2pm.

NEW   Outdoor Drop Box located in between the City Hall, Warren Street Entrance doors, behind the call box.
Please enclose your ticket and payment (exact amount IF cash) in a sealed envelope including your name and address, please include ticket number and Plate on your Check or Money Order.


There is a drop box on the first floor of City Hall, in the main lobby, where payments can be left.


***Payments are no longer accepted at the Hudson Police Station.

Additional Penalties for Failing to Pay Within 30 Days
Failure of the vehicle owner to pay within 30 days of the receipt of a parking ticket issued under Article IV or V of the Hudson City Code will be deemed a plea of guilty and result in the fine doubling and the addition of a $25.00 surcharge. Any motor vehicle which has three of more tickets issued under Articles I, IV or V outstanding in excess of 45 days may have installed upon it a boot or other security device prohibiting the use of the motor vehicle. In addition to the outstanding tickets, the car owner shall pay a boot removal fee in a sum set by the Common Council.

Permits:

South Front Street Amtrak Long Term Parking Lot:
Parking permits for the City-managed, long term lot across from the Amtrak train station may be purchased for six months or one year.  The fee is $650.00 for six months or $1,000.00 for the year.  To purchase a permit for the Amtrak lot please visit the Parking Ticket Bureau office.

To obtain a municipal parking pass, visit the City Clerk. Permits are $250 for the year and are prorated.

Parking at the Amtrak Station:
Overnight parking is available in the long term lot across from the train station.
The lot is managed by the City of Hudson and the rate is $10.00 per 24 hour period, rate effective per Resolution No. 12, July 21, 2020.
There are two options to pay for a space: 

  • Use the kiosks at the entrance of the lot.  The machines accept cash or credit card.  You will need to know the space number where you parked. Place the printed receipt in a visible location on your dashboard.


Refunds will NOT be issued for returning early.

Contesting a Ticket: 
Appeal Instructions
If you choose to contest a ticket, you must file the appeal within 30 days of the receipt of the ticket.  Failure to file a timely contest is deemed a plea of guilty and will result in the fine doubling and a $25 surcharge.  A contest of the ticket must be in writing and addressed to:

All appeals are handled by mail.  Do not consider an appeal settled until you have received documentation by mail from the Parking Ticket Bureau stating the outcome of your appeal.
