CITY OF HUDSON WEB SITE
The City of Hudson web page was implemented for the purpose of providing information to citizens regarding its local government and operations including Departments, Commissions, Committees, Calendars of Meetings and Common Council Minutes.
According to the City of Hudson's Web Page Policy adopted on April 15, 2003 Links are provided and are those that are consistent with the purpose of the site. "Links shall be limited to: Government and Economic Development Agencies, the Chamber of Commerce, School, libraries and organizations funded by the municipality". The Policy also states "Requests to add a Link to the City Web page shall be submitted to the Common Council Legal Committee for approval".
Present City Links Include, such Agencies as: Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Columbia County Tourism, NYS Department of Real Property, New York State Homepage, New York State Assembly, New York State Senate, Firemen's Museum, Hudson-Athens Lighthouse, Hudson Antique Dealers Association.
USING THE CITY'S WEB PAGE
On the Left Side of the Homepage there are Navigation Buttons to help you find information.
For example, to find the above Links, Click on the "Links" the Navigation Button (on the left).That will bring up a list of links available.
The Entire City Charter/Code Book can be easily accessed by clicking on the Navigation Button "City Charter/Code". On the next Page, Click the hyperlink, (the underlined title) the entire City Charter and Code Book is now accessible. Using the Search button here helps you find information faster. For example if you want to find the City's Zoning laws, type in the word zoning In the search area. A list of Chapters pertaining to Zoning will then be listed.
If you are Looking for specific information, and are unsure of what Navigation Button, use the Search Button on the Homepage.
Example- You need to know about Building permits - in the Search Area type in Building Permits a list of Hyperlinks will then be provided for you to access. The first on the list will most likely be the Building permit application form. The Following hyperlink is for the Code Enforcement Department which handles the Building Permit Applications.
If you need a Bus Schedule type in Bus Schedule in the search area.
The Search area on the city's Homepage will provide you fast and a wide array of information pertaining to the word(s) you had entered in the Search Area.
In order to provide more information to City of Hudson Residents regarding their local Government, All Departments in Hudson NOW have full access to enter information, forms, newsletters, documents etc within their respective Department Page, to provide you the most accurate and timely information.
